Spreading the Gospel through Correspondence Courses
“An average view of the Christian life is that it means deliverance from trouble. It is deliverance in trouble, which is very different.”
Oswald Chambers
Please pray for Lavern who studies Set Free advanced courses and is having a hard time keeping faith in God.
And pray for the following men who gave a testimony through their Set Free studies.
A testimony from Arnold while studying the Source of Life:
“I’ve been praying for 21 years for God to deliver me from this sentence. Because He hasn’t, I’ve been through so much. So much
that I’ve become who I am today. I’ve become a person that can do without things like electricity, water, food and other humans.
God does not let us endure more than we can handle. Because of these past 21 years I have become very humble. I need very little. Life
has become very simple for me. But because of God…I am blessed…happy…content.
Philip from Wyoming Prison writes:
“Before I really studied the Word of God and began taking the Bible lessons to heart, I was always sad and confused. I blamed
others quite often for my poor behavior, and the life I was living.
I’m such a different person now and hold myself accountable. I’m much more joyful and am a continuous work in progress. God is
working and moving in my life, and I can see and feel it happening.
This course has helped me to reaffirm and refocus my walk with Jesus Christ.”
Have you been born again? If so, how do you know? A question from the lesson on the Lord’s Supper and Baptism.
Samuel answered, “April 11th 2021, in a jail cell locked down 20 hours a day, fighting for my life is when I was
born again. I felt the Holy Spirit change me for the better. I know then I was born again. Amen.”
Joseph answered the question of Do you know you’ve been filled with the Holy Spirit?
“Yes. After the darkest depression of my life over the past 2 years, after losing all the worldly things I “loved”, I built a
personal relationship with God and feel joy, hope, and true love for
the first time in my life. I’ve been able to see what is truly important on life.”
DIRECTOR’S COMMENTS
“ Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open
up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; that I may make it
clear in the way I ought to speak.” Colossians 4:2-4
Paul is asking for prayer for him and those laboring with him. We are not Paul, but we greatly covet your prayers for wisdom, boldness, clarity,
courage, open doors, fruit, good heath and safety. Also pray for our students, volunteers, chaplains and for more volunteers. We are here because of your prayers and financial support.
Again thank you for your generous giving to Set Free prison Ministry. We pray that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
