The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Please pray for
Anthony who requests prayer that he stay strong in the Lord and obey God’s Word and for his safety.
Adolfo who hopes to be home this year and go to church and give his testimony about the change in him and he never wants to go back.
Adolfo has been incarcerated 8 ½ years and prays for Jesus to bless him with his freedom. He has 2 daughters and he loves his family and misses them “like you can’t imagine.” Because of his daughter’s mother and her mom Adolfo started reading the Bible and believing in God. Now he has so much faith and knows God has been by his side even when he has made mistakes.
Brandon writes, “Dear Set Free Prison Ministry, I have been a Christian my entire life. When I was a kid I received a study from you. Between then and now I went down a path that wasn’t edifying to Christ. I now know, through numerous studies and God changing my heart, after I was arrested that the time we have to loving people back to God is very short and the 2nd coming of Christ is near. I would like to share my story in writing with others after I’m released. Thank you for your great work and the studies you provide. May God bring health to your families and joy to your lives. God bless you.”
Matthew writes in response to the question about his impression of the Holy Spirit. “The Holy Spirit is the power of Jesus on earth and it’s something I tend to overlook. We as humans tend to easily forget things that don’t seem relevant at the time. But as we learn more, we can start seeing more and more how we have skipped over some things of great importance. Just like reading the Bible. The more I read it the more I highlight things but now I realize the whole Bible is highlighted and of the utmost importance.”
Anna wrote, “Hi, Thank you for the Correspondence course. I am super excited in moving forward. I am truly fond of studying the Bible. I am currently incarcerated and looking for a big long term Bible study workbook that can not only keep me busy but help me understand my purpose and Jesus/God better.”
Jason wrote, “Dear friends, Thank you for your help. I look forward to my next lesson. They always keep me in good spirits and have helped me in learning and understanding the Word of God and how He is love. I pray for more lessons and that I too can serve the Lord. Thank you”
Director’s Comments
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven
that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
I want to thank each one of you for your part in this work whether you are a
chaplain, donor, prayer warrior or have any other part in this work. Together we
can make an eternal difference. In this ministry we seek God’s glory, not our own,
remembering that the work is the Lord’s. We never had any paid employees at
Set Free, but only volunteers who are willing to come and serve because of their
love for the Lord.
We are very close to the coming of the lord and time is short. Let us therefore
stay focused, strong in faith and stand firm. Again, thank you for being partners in
this work.
