Spreading The Gospel Through Correspondence Courses
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36 ESV
Being set free in our faith means we’re not chained to our sin, past or present. We’re free to accept the forgiveness and grace of Jesus.
A question from lesson Doing Time With Jesus, “What would be the first thing you would do if you were released from prison?”
Daniel answered, “Hold my family so tight they couldn’t breathe and cry for hours because I miss them so bad. I have an appreciation
for them I would have never had without this experience, and I’d never want this hurt and pain taken back. Many can’t understand joy like Paul
in Philippians 1:6, but I can (He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.). You learn contentment,
peace and hope deeper than you could ever imagine…if you trust God, pray, and stay in His Word.”
Response from James while studying The Gospel of John,
“Since accepting Jesus into my life my life has changed for the better. I now like knowing I am loved, accepted and cared for. I no
longer use vulgar or offensive language and try every day to slowly become more Christ like. Although I still have yet to see the miracle
of freedom and reconciliation with loved ones, I believe in my heart those miracles are coming this year.”
Jason responded in the study of Christ Loved The Church to an answer to prayer.
“I would have to say that me being sent to prison because it got me sober, also got me back into my Bible studies. I was praying for help,
and this all happened. God knows how to help us. The help might not be what we expect but will be what God knows will help us. He saved
my life, put people in my life that love me and showed me He loves me all because of my prayers.”
In the lesson What Do You Say? Matthew wrote, “I am now saved. I acted as though I was better than God, holier than thou and now
that is at best laughable. Without His Word I would still have unforgiveness and bitterness. I can now love what doesn’t deserve to be loved
and forgive those who deserve no forgiveness.”
Scott wrote in answer to a question while studying Discovering Bible Study, an advanced course. “The Word of God has put me on a new level of life. People are amazed at the turnaround of my life. I am happy, my words are of good nature and my soul is good, not bad.”
Please pray for Kolby who accepted Christ as Lord and Savior while studying You Can Live Forever.
Juan R. asked for prayer. He has many problems and needs. Thank you!
Luis asked for prayer for confirmation to the call God has for him. Thank you!
Juan C. asked for prayer. He would like to have his family back. Thank you!
Director’s Comments
“Ministry takes place when divine resources meet human needs through loving channels to the glory of God.”
Quoted from “ON BEING A SERVANT OF GOD” BY WARREN W. WIERSBE
I have used this definition of ministry more than once. Here at Set Free Prison Ministry we believe that we are only l
oving channels God uses to meet the greatest human need which is the salvation of the soul. We share the Gospel
through correspondence courses and help the believing prisoners grow in their faith by sharing the Word - all for His glory !
Thank you all for your prayers and financial support for this ministry. As we have said before, without you we couldn’t do this work for the Lord.
“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17
