Spreading The Gospel Through Correspondence Courses
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here. 2Corintians 5:17.
Please pray for Kenneth and David who each gave their lives to the Lord through their study of The Greatest Man Alive
Jeffrey writes that before he trusted Christ he was the world.
He said, “I did every dumb thing all around me except for drugs and strip clubs but I thought about it which is just as bad. Booze and sex was what I was before I trusted Christ. I was lost without it. It drove me to do unthinkable things and hurt people in so many ways. I didn’t know how to treat people, I was fake. I was a hard worker but for all the wrong reasons. I was feeding my addictions and hiding from everything and everyone by always working. This was me before Christ.
But He was there. I needed a push in the direction and the way it happened was by someone putting me in jail then prison. I never put blame on anyone but myself, but I was tempted by Satan. Christ taught me that Satan is stronger than you think but if I confess my sins He would show me through faith that I could be free from Satan and the guilt of my past sins. So, through some friends I met in prison I learned about Christ and started to trust in Him. Now I’m doing Bible studies which I love and I’m understanding better the explanations about Scripture in the studies.
Since I’ve trusted Christ, I feel Him in my heart the way my life has changed… I don’t drink, I don’t even want to have sex anymore. People don’t believe me, but I feel since I’ve trusted Christ, He’s got other plans for me. I’m not sure but He will tell me or show me soon enough. I believe the devil is going to test my trust in Christ in many ways. With the devil all around us I say bring it on. My faith is strong, you have no power over me devil.
Since I’ve trusted Christ, Amen
Richard responded to the question “What is your view of Jesus?” in the study of The Servant of God by writing, “He is the greatest thing that happened in my life. He is my friend, my Lord, and Savior and the reason to rejoice.”
Also Richard was asked to describe in what way he had experienced Jesus’ care for him as a sheep in The Source of Life study. “Yes, the Lord is my Shepherd. He allows me to come to Him no matter how I’m feeling or what I’m going through. And by His grace I can overcome.”
“Dear Set Free, I stopped doing my lessons, I have been unfaithful. Fight after fight I have participated in since I stopped my lessons and reading my Bible and praying. There was nothing but spiritual attacks but God answered my prayer to stay in the hole and I’m finally getting back on track in what matters most. Thank you guys for your patience with me. Quinteros”
Director’s Comments
As we start the New Year it will be a pleasure to work alongside all of you again. Last year, it was a blessing to see so many come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are so thankful that your prayers and financial support made all this possible – so let us not get weary in the Lord’s work. Our faithfulness in His work will never go unnoticed or unrewarded. Please pray that our student enrollment will go up this year.
This year we will endeavor to try and reach more inmates by visiting the Chaplains and encouraging them to use the materials we have. Please join us in prayer.
“ Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.” Galatians 6:9
