correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Kolby was saved while doing the lesson “The Servant of God” which is only the second lesson of the courses designed for slow readers!
William, a Spanish student, said he would like to have Jesus in his life. He was sent scripture to help him. Pray for his salvation with us!
Nelson accepted Christ while doing the Spanish translation of lesson three, “The Greatest Man Alive.” In Spanish it is El Hombre Mas Grande.
Donald’s answer to a question from the lesson “Win the Battle for Your Mind” (#44) is beautiful. The question: Have you discovered the benefits of meditating on God’s Word? Donald: “I think my greatest benefit is that I am “at peace!” Daily strife, disappointments have very little effect on me. More often than not, they lead me to spend my response time in reading and mediating on God’s Word! It is a blessing!!”
Next is Jason’s work on lesson 36, “Letter to Hebrews.” The question: Which one of the commands given in chapter 13 challenges you the most and why? Jason wrote, “That you love one another just as I have loved you. It challenges me because right now I’m in prison and almost all the other inmates don’t return the love you give and it becomes a struggle. But now I see how our love for one another reflects the love we have for our Father. By loving one another we are following a command from the Father and this shows Him we honor Him, respect Him, love Him (see John 4:8). The early Christians were marked by compassion for those who were ill-treated. It’s still a battle. I turn to Jesus in prayer to get strength and help to get closer to my brothers and sisters to show love to them.
How do you plan to implement one of the practical principles/exhortations given in this lesson [from the study on John, #21]? Raymond answered, “Love Christ and in doing so I will love anyone who Christ leads me to help and be an example of what Christ expects of us as His disciples. We are to love everyone even our enemies and bring glory to His name, in doing so that He may be glorified alone. ‘Not I but He who sent me’ Amen.”
